The Rotary Club of Reno's 2008 Mardi Gras Food and Wine Tasting Fund Raiser was a huge success!  We were honored to be the inaugural event at the new Downtown Reno Ballroom - a spectacular venue.

We had record-breaking attendance and fun was had by all!

Thank you to everyone who contributed to and supported our silent auction (118 items!) and our cash raffle.

We also want to acknowledge the wine distributors who really "poured" their hearts out and the 63 wineries who offered us 183 different wines to sample.

We also want to acknowledge the 12 local restaurants and four casinos who served sumptuous food and kudos to our non-alcoholic beverage providers and our entertainers!

The face painters, magicians, stilt walkers and circus acts were a hit!  We were also fortunate to have the very talented musicians from the McQueen and Galena HS Jazz bands to fill the air with festive music.

Many thanks go out to Chairman Bill Creekbaum and his fundraiser committee for putting on the most elegant and fun fundraiser we have ever
had.  We also wish to thank Caryl Larva for her tremendous efforts.

Who Benefits? 

 Proceeds from the Rotary Club of Reno's Annual "Mardi Gras" Food and Wine Tasting fund raiser benefit local charities.  Since July 2004, the Rotary Club of Reno, has distributed $118,297 through its foundation.
