It is our pleasure to welcome Jim Miller as our guest speaker on Monday, July 26.

Jim Miller is Presidentand Chief Executive Offi cer for Renown Health, the only locally owned health network in Washoe County and the region’s largest private, not-forprofit employer.

With more than 30 years of healthcare experience, Jim oversees the strategic direction and ongoing operations of all Renown Health services, including Renown Regional Medical Center, Renown South Meadows Medical Center, Renown Rehabilitation
Hospital, Renown Skilled Nursing,Renown Medical Group and Hometown Health.

To meet the future needs of our growing community, Jim has overseen significant expansion of our healthcare services. Recent projects include the construction of
the new 10-story, 190-bed Tahoe Towerand the Renown Children’s Hospital at Renown Regional, as well as the completion of Renown South Meadows earlier this decade. Jim also oversees the ongoing operations of the region’s Level II Trauma Center, the Renown Institute for Cancer, Institute for Neurosciences, and the Institute for Heart & Vascular Health. Jim grew up in Henderson, Nevada, and
graduated from the University of Nevada,Las Vegas. In 1983, Jim joined Renown Health and was named President & CEO in January 2000.

Jim is a member of the Nevada Hospital Association’s Board of Directors, served as their board chair in 2005, and was recently elected as board chair for 2011. He
is also board chairman of the High Sierra Industries and WARC, and serves on the boards for the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada and Reno-Sparks Chamber of Commerce.
